WATERTOWN, S.D. – Emma Schleusner and Sloane Allard each had unassisted goals as Watertown outshot the Rushmore Thunder 40-17 in the Lakers’ 2-1 win Sunday at Prairie Lake Ice Arena.
Schleusner’s goal came at the 10:31 mark of the first and Allard’s game-winner at 14:13 of the third. Nylah Vannelli recorded the win in net.
The Laker girls (3-1-0) will next host Mitchell at home Dec. 5.
Laker Boys Fall To Sioux Falls West
On the boys side, Watertown could only manage 11 shots in a 7-1 loss to Sioux Falls West Sunday.
Aidyn Melville was the lone Laker to send one through unassisted at 12:24 in the third period.
Watertown was outshot 52-11.
The Laker boys (2-1-0) will head to Sioux Falls East on Dec. 12.
