WATERTOWN, S.D. – A two-goal night by Emma Schleusner and a shutout by Kira Reppe sent Watertown past Mitchell, 3-0, in high school girls hockey Friday night at Prairie Lakes Ice Arena.
Schleusner netted her first goal at the 1:44 mark of the first period, assisted by Harper Hendricks and Mikenna Knopf. Lily Murray scored just over 40 seconds later at 1:03, with Gracelyn Webb earning the assist for the 2-0 lead. Schleusner scored her second goal at 12:49 in the second with an unassisted tally.
Kira Reppe earned the shutout, stopping all 20 of Mitchell’s shots on goal.
Watertown (4-1-0) travels to face the Brookings Rangers on Fri., Dec. 19.
