CLARK, S.D. – Kingsbury County won the Clark/Willow Lake WBC Invitational on Saturday, finishing first with a team score of 155.5. The host Clark/Willow Lake placed second with 146.0 points. Rounding out the top five were Britton/Hecla (129.0), Groton Area (104.5), and Faulkton Area (76.0).
Kingsbury County was led by individual champions Willy Miller (106), Greyson Nielson (157), and Blake Jennings (165), who all claimed titles in their respective weight classes. The host team also saw strong results, with Maverick Clausen (113), Cade Gaikowski (120), Kaden Wookey (132), Logan Foster (138), and Cooper Pommer (144) winning titles for Clark/Willow Lake.
Cyclone wrestling will next host a triangular meet with Redfield and Britton/Hecla on Dec. 9 in Willow Lake. Kingsbury County will host Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington on Dec. 11 in De Smet.
