RAPID CITY, SD – Five Arrows saw the top of the podium after a successful weekend at the Rapid City Invitational Wrestling Tournament.
The Watertown boys placed third with a team score of 169.5. Shea Richter took home the top prize at 132 with a decision over Brody Gossen of West Central. Gage Lohr saw the top of the podium at 157 with a tech fall win over William Alt of Kelly Walsh, WY.
Other Arrow boys who placed: Braylon Schell won by fall over Jaxson Avery of Sturgis to place fifth at 106. Chase Mathews placed seventh at 126 with a decision over Taten Adams of Sturgis. Brody Randall placed sixth at 138 after falling to Kyler Schalesky. Kutler Swenson took home fifth place at 144 with a tiebreaker over Cade Nieuwsma of Bismarck. Markus Pitkin fell to Parker Chavez of Valentine to place sixth at 165.
On the girls’ side, Watertown took home second place with a team score of 190.0. Brooklyn Randall saw the top of the podium with a win by fall over Jasmine Mass of Aberdeen at 115. Olivia Anderson won by decision over Alexis Brenden of Yankton for tops at 120. Eden Hach took home gold at 235 with a forfeit win over Sheena Locke of Bismarck.
Other Arrow girls who placed: Vanessa Anderson fell to Shaylee Speck of Pierre by fall to place second at 105. Allison Konrad fell to Jessica Hite of Custer in the 190 championship match, taking home second place. Brooke Grajczyk won by fall over Dani Grooms of Sheridan to take home third place at 145. Nevaeh Schanbeck fell to Bella Morteo of Rapid City Stevens by decision to place sixth at 170.
Next up for Arrow Boys Wrestling is the MatBoss Minnesota Christmas Tournament in Rochester, Minnesota on December 19 and 20. The girls will head to Battle for the Paddle in Canton on December 20.
