Great Plains Lutheran Splits LIT Championships; Girls Claim Third Straight Title

MILWAUKEE, WI – Great Plains Lutheran came away with a split in the championship games of the Lutheran Invitational Tournament (LIT) at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Panther girls defeated Nebraska Lutheran 56-43 to claim their third consecutive LIT Tournament championship. Statistics were unavailable from the contest. Katharine Prahl and Julia Prahl were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Panther boys fell to Michigan Lutheran, 68-51, in the LIT championship game. Isaac Kjenstad led the charge for GPL with 15 points; Jarret Bauer added 10. Bauer was named to the All-Tournament Team. Aiden Lemke and Anthony Ealey each tallied 14 points for Michigan Lutheran.

Next up for Great Plains Lutheran, the boys will travel to Milbank on Jan. 8 while the girls will come home to face Tri-State on Dec. 15.
