CLARK, SD – Host team Clark/Willow Lake captured the Northeast Conference boys and girls crown at the 2025 Northeast Conference Wrestling Tournament held in Clark on Friday.
The Cyclones secured the top team score with 148.0 points. Sisseton followed in second place at 136.0, Redfield took third at 105.0, Groton placed fourth with 100.5, and Deuel rounded out the top five with 89.5.
Cade Gaikowski (120), Benny Pommer (126), and Cooper Pommer (144) took home gold for Clark/Willow Lake. Maverick Clausen (113), Kaden Wookey (132), Logan Foster (138), and Isaac Johnson (157) earned runner-up honors. Austin Vig placed third at 165, while Ridge Moe placed fourth at 190.
Zane Miller led Deuel by taking the top spot at 157. Bentley Fokken (113), Gavin Mattson (120), Tyson Hagberg (144), and Ryker Gauger (150) all earned third-place finishes. Raymond Klein placed fourth at 285.
Tae Everson of Hamlin/Castlewood took home runner-up honors at 165. Justin Goens (138) and Guillermo Julian Cruz Arroyo (215) both placed fourth.
On the girls side, the Cyclones Kadee Frankfurth (105), Emma Bochek (115), Zoe Nichols (125), Naomi Miller (135), Adilynn Ahrens (170), reached the top of the podium. Cadence Bochek (120) Selma Nelson (130) Chyanne Guerdet (140), Breanna Ahrens (190) took home runner up honors.
