Arrows Secure Fourth at Battle for the Paddle; Konrad and Hach Claim Titles

CANTON, SD — The Watertown girls wrestling squad took home a fourth-place team finish at the 2025 Battle for the Paddle in Canton on Saturday, finishing with a score of 158.0. Host Canton claimed the top spot with a score of 258.5.

Two Arrows reached the top of the podium. Allison Konrad (190) won by fall over Spearfish’s Marlee Heltzel, while Eden Hach (235) secured a victory by fall over Kaylee DeJong of Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley.

Four Arrows earned runner-up honors: Vanessa Anderson (105) fell to Joslyn Swanson of Hinton-SBL; Brooklyn Randall (115) lost by decision to Sturgis’ Kaidynce Hand; Olivia Anderson (120) fell to Jasmine Rueles-Hertz of Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon; and Brooke Grajczyk (145) fell to Taniah Borney of Eagan. Additionally, Nevaeh Schanbeck placed seventh at 170 after winning by fall over Jenessa Skyberg of Brandon Valley.

Next up for the Arrows is the Floyd Farrand Tournament in Sioux Falls on December 29.
