Buisker Drops 25 as Arrows Cruise to Victory in Sturgis

STURGIS, S.D. – The Watertown Arrows found their rhythm early Friday night, shooting 53% from the field and 50% from 3-point range to secure a 69-42 victory over Sturgis in high school boys basketball.

Watertown established dominance quickly, building a 22-13 lead after the first quarter and a 40-21 advantage by halftime. The Arrows maintained their momentum in the second half, leading by as many as 33 points.

Carter Buisker led the charge for the purple and gold, finishing with 25 points, six assists, and three steals. Jack Mack fell just short of a double-double, recording nine points and 11 rebounds, and Kaden Decker added 11 points. Sturgis was led by Hayden Rock, who finished with 21 points.

In the girls’ matchup, Sturgis defeated Watertown 57-47. Kynsee Russell led the Arrows with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Jordan Remmers added 11 points. Leigha Long led Sturgis with 23 points.

The Watertown teams continue their West River trip today in Box Elder for a doubleheader against Douglas. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
