HURON, S.D. – A five-goal third period lifted Watertown over Huron for a 9-6 victory Saturday night in boys high school hockey action.
Goals by Colin Solheim, Aidyn Melville, Colton Kasuske, and Kolten Sutton gave Watertown a 4-3 lead heading into the final frame. Solheim completed a “super hat trick” (four goals), finding the net at 10:29 and 9:51 of the third before adding an empty-netter with 40 seconds remaining.
Melville added his second goal of the night at 16:08, and Jack Elshere contributed a short-handed goal at 3:18.
The Lakers outshot the All Stars 53-22.
Watertown’s next SDAHA game is Jan. 23 at Brandon Valley.
