Bevers Nets 24 as Clark/Willow Lake Thumps Bulldogs

WILLOW LAKE, S.D. – Four Cyclones reached double figures as Class A No. 3 Clark/Willow Lake topped Class B No. 2 De Smet 73-42 in high school boys basketball Thursday night.

The Cyclones started fast, shooting 50% from the field to build a 39-18 halftime lead. The momentum continued in the second half as Clark/Willow Lake outscored the Bulldogs 34-24 to secure the win.

Chris Bevers led all scorers with 24 points for the Cyclones. Bo Begeman added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Sully Felberg contributed 13 points and six assists. Emmerson Larson finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Grant Wilkinson led De Smet (8-1) with 20 points and seven rebounds. Noah Luethmers and Slayten Wilkinson each added eight points for the Bulldogs, who shot just 34% from the field.

Clark/Willow Lake (9-0) travels to Deuel on Jan. 16. De Smet hosts Hamlin on Jan. 19.
