FLORENCE, S.D. – Three Panthers scored in double figures as Great Plains Lutheran defeated Florence-Henry 66-56 in girls high school basketball action Thursday night.
Katherine Prahl led the GPL performance with 22 points, followed by Julia Prahl with 19 points and Fiona Poor with 12.
Ana Byer led the Falcons with 15 points. Ashlynn Vavruska added 11 points and Addison Byer chipped in 10 for Florence-Henry.
In the boys’ half of the doubleheader, Florence-Henry secured a 55-51 victory.
GPL’s Jarrett Bauer was the lone Panther in double figures with 21 points. Holden Karli added nine points while Aiden Cameron tallied eight. Statistics for Florence-Henry were not reported.
The Florence-Henry boys (3-11) travel to Castlewood on Feb. 10. The girls (8-5) travel to Groton on Feb. 2. The GPL girls (7-6) and boys (4-6) host Elkton-Lake Benton for a doubleheader Jan. 31.
