Anderson, Konrad and Hach Secure Individual Titles in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. — Aberdeen Central took the top spot with a score of 187 at the 2026 Aberdeen Wrestling Invitational on Friday. Watertown placed fourth with a score of 131.5. Area teams Clark/Willow Lake took sixth with 113.5, Kingsbury County followed in seventh with 91, and Webster Area placed 18th with a score of 18.

Three Arrows reached the top of the podium, including Olivia Anderson, who won by fall over Payden Coughlin of Kingsbury County to take home gold in the 120-pound division. In the 190-pound championship, Allison Konrad won by fall over Hope Kemnitz of Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon. Eden Hach rounded out the gold medalists, taking first at 235 pounds.

Two Arrows fell in their championship matches. Vanessa Anderson lost to Liza Krueger of Groton Area to place second at 105, while Brooke Grajczyk fell to Quinn Butler of Lemmon at 140.

Other placing Arrows included Nevaeh Schanbeck, who won by decision over Lily Nelson of Aberdeen Central to take third at 170.

Next up for Watertown girls wrestling is a trip to Huron on Feb. 5. The boys team competes at the Aberdeen Invite today.
