Anderson, Konrad, and Hach Lead Watertown Girls at Yankton Invite

YANKTON, S.D. — Watertown crowned three individual champions and secured a fourth-place team finish Friday at the Yankton Girls Wrestling Invitational.

The Arrows finished with 140.5 points, while Canton claimed the team title with 223. Olivia Anderson (120 pounds) pinned Brooklynn Smith of Rapid City Stevens to take first. At 190, Allison Konrad won by fall over Canton’s Natalia Long, and Eden Hach (235) earned gold by pinning Kori Wallner, also of Canton.

Vanessa Anderson (105) earned a runner-up finish after falling to Madison’s Jewel Vardsveen in the championship match. Other placing Arrows included Nevaeh Schanbeck (third, 170), Brooke Grajczyk (fifth, 140), and Lily Lindsey (third, 100 round robin).

Watertown next travels to Brandon for the ESD Conference Tournament on Feb. 12. The Arrow boys team competes at the Yankton Invitational on Saturday.
