SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A poor shooting night doomed Watertown in a 77-68 loss to Sioux Falls Washington in boys high school basketball action Friday night.
The Warriors jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and led 36-24 at halftime, bolstered by the Arrows shooting just 24% from the field in the first half. The Arrows attempted a comeback in the second half but finished the game shooting 31%. Washington shot 45% in the contest.
A trio of Arrows led the way, including Jackson McClemens with 23 points, five assists and two steals. Carter Buisker added 21 points and four assists. Jack Mack recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with six assists.
Jhace Woods led the Sioux Falls Washington attack with a 30-point performance and seven assists. David Kutey nearly recorded a triple-double, tallying 20 points, nine assists and nine boards.
Watertown (11-3) continues its tour of Sioux Falls schools by hosting Jefferson on Feb. 10.
