Bauer Leads GPL Boys Past Arlington; Huntimer Drops 28 in Cardinals Win

WATERTOWN, S.D. — Great Plains Lutheran held Arlington to just 3 points in the first quarter and never looked back in a 65-47 victory in high school boys basketball action Saturday.

For GPL, Jarrett Bauer tallied 22 points, Isaac Kjenstad added 15 and Ezra Schaffer chipped in 10. No statistics were reported for Arlington.

On the girls side of the doubleheader, Jaelyn Huntimer racked up 28 points in Arlington’s 57-33 victory. Lauryn Mutziger added 17 points for the Cardinals.

Julia Prahl led GPL with 12 points, while Emily Moritz added seven.

The Great Plains Lutheran girls travel to Groton Area on Monday while the boys head to Sioux Falls Lutheran. Arlington travels to St. Mary’s for a doubleheader Monday.
