SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls West blanked the Watertown Lakers 7-0 on Saturday in high school boys hockey action.
The Flyers came alive during a five-goal second period. Jackson Breuer, Braedon Hitt, Carson Edwards, Beckett Halde and Jackson Dunn all scored. Ashton Geier and Benjamin Heibult added two more for the Flyers in the third.
Lewis Jerke earned the shutout in net for Sioux Falls. The Flyers outshot Watertown 43-14.
The Lakers return to action next weekend with a Saturday and Sunday home matchup against the Rushmore Thunder. The Laker girls travel to Sioux Center on Sunday.
