The brackets are set for the Class A and Class B Girls SoDak 16.
In Class A, Hamlin is the No. 1 seed with a 20-1 record and will face No. 16 seed Sisseton (11-10), which upset Aberdeen Roncalli to reach the tournament. Sioux Valley earned the No. 4 seed with a 20-2 record and will face No. 13 seed St. Thomas More (16-5). Groton Area, the other northeast South Dakota team to qualify, earned a No. 11 seed with a 16-6 record and will face No. 6 seed Sioux Falls Christian (18-4).
Four local teams will compete in the Girls Class B SoDak 16. Waubay/Summit (20-2) is a No. 8 seed and will face No. 9 seed Corsica-Stickney (16-5). Warner is a No. 12 seed with a 16-6 record and will face No. 5 seed Colman-Egan (21-1). Deubrook Area (13-9) will try to make another appearance in the state tournament; standing in its way is No. 4 seed Ethan (20-2). De Smet has drawn a No. 15 seed and will face No. 2 seed Parkston.
The Girls Class A and B SoDak 16 will be played at sites across South Dakota on March 5. Winners will move on to the state tournaments March 12-14.
