SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Kingsbury County led the local contingent with eight place winners at the 2026 SDHSAA Individual Wrestling Tournament, headlined by Greyson Nielson’s fourth-place finish at 157 pounds.
Jaidynn Giedd (170) and Blake Jennings (165) both secured fifth place for the Knights. Rounding out the Kingsbury County podium finishers were seventh-place winners Chase Henriksen (120), Izy Bendorf (125), Cody Zell (144), Breyton Johnson (285), and Donovan Sandven (175).
Clark/Willow Lake saw seven wrestlers reach the podium. Cooper Pommer (138), Kaden Wookey (126), and Kadee Frankfurth (105) all earned third-place finishes. Cade Gaikowski (120) and Naomi Miller (135) took fourth, while Emma Bochek placed sixth at 115. Austin Vig added a seventh-place finish at 165.
Webster’s Haeden Jorgenson earned the highest individual finish of the area teams, taking home runner-up honors at 144 pounds. Hamlin/Castlewood’s Tate Everson placed third at 165.
Other area results included Milbank’s Lawson Novy (sixth, 285) and Kyra Tostenson (eighth, 190), while Zane Miller of Deuel/Deubrook Area placed sixth at 157.
