Lohr Claims Fourth Title as Watertown Shines at State Wrestling

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Watertown secured four individual titles at the 2026 SDHSAA State Individual Wrestling Championships at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center on Saturday.

Junior Gage Lohr became a four-time state champion, taking home the gold at 157 pounds. Senior Shea Richter also became a multi-time champion, winning the 132-pound division. On the girls’ side, Allison Konrad and Eden Hach added to their trophy cases as well. Konrad, a senior, finished her high school career with her second 190-pound title, while Hach, a junior, earned her second consecutive championship at 235.

Sophomore Olivia Anderson fell in her championship bout, finishing with silver at 120.

Other placing Arrows included Brooke Grajczyk (third, 140), Brooklyn Randall (third, 115), Braylon Schell (third, 106), Brody Randall (third, 126), and Markus Pitkin (third, 165). Kutler Swenson placed fourth at 138, while Jonah Anderson took fifth at 113. Rounding out the podium finishes were Chase Mathews (sixth, 120), Vanessa Anderson (sixth, 106), Landen Lewis (sixth, 175), and Cade Kuemper (eighth, 190).

In the team standings, the Watertown girls finished as runners-up with 131.5 points, trailing champion Canton (169). The boys placed third with a score of 169, while Sturgis Brown claimed the team title with 219.5 points.
