Watertown Falls to Flyers West in State Elimination Round

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Watertown Lakers’ season ended Friday with a 7-2 loss to the Sioux Falls Flyers West in an elimination game of the 2026 State Boys Varsity Hockey Tournament.

Bailey Dorneman put Watertown on the board at 6:49 of the first period off an assist from Tyson Lawrence. Colton Kasuske added a second goal at 14:20 of the second period, assisted by Colin Solheim. However, Sioux Falls struck early and often, scoring three goals in the first, one in the second, and three in the third. Jackson Breuer led the Flyers with a hat trick, while Konnor Lindersmith, Jackson Dunn, Carson Edwards, and Jackson Henry each added a goal.

Watertown finishes the season with an 8-15-1 record in the SDAHA.
