RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Watertown Arrows demonstrated significant growth this season. After missing the Class AA tournament a year ago with a 6-14 record, the Arrows have amassed a 16-5 record and a No. 5 seed in this year’s tournament.
Watertown holds wins over tournament opponents Brandon Valley (59-52), Sioux Falls O’Gorman (69-32), and Sioux Falls Roosevelt (71-68). Tournament team losses came against Tea Area (65-61), Huron (61-56), Sioux Falls Lincoln (78-55), and Harrisburg (60-55).
The Arrows are led this season by the trio of Jack Mack, Jackson McClemans, and Carter Buisker. Buisker leads the team with 17 points per game. The senior has been a threat from the perimeter, making 63 3-pointers this season. McClemans, also a senior, follows with 14 points per game while dishing out 71 assists. He will play baseball this fall for Southwest Minnesota State. Mack, a junior, averages nearly 12 points per contest and is the team’s rebounding leader with 105.
Also contributing are senior Kaden Decker and junior Isaac Rehorst, who both average 7 points per contest. Decker will play football at Morningside University next season.
