RAPID CITY, S.D. — Brant Wassenaar had a career night to help Sioux Falls Christian punch its ticket to the Class A title game with a 58-47 win over Hamlin in the semifinals Friday night.
A rematch of last year’s Class A title contest again went the way of the Chargers, who shot 42% from the field and outrebounded Hamlin 36-24.
Wassenaar tallied 28 points, grabbed five boards, and had two steals. Canyon Prins added 14 points and nine rebounds. Hamlin was led by Jackson Wadsworth’s 15 points and four assists, while Aiden Abraham added 11 points.
Hamlin will play for third place against Clark/Willow Lake on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game is a rematch of a Feb. 19 meeting won by the Cyclones 58-50. SDPB will have coverage on SDPB-TV3, SDPB.org/Basketball and YouTube. Radio coverage can be found on Power 106.3.
