RAPID CITY, S.D. — West Central punched its ticket to the Class A title game with a 56-43 win over Clark/Willow Lake in the championship semifinals Friday in Rapid City.
The Trojans came out firing on all cylinders, holding the Cyclones to just two points in the first quarter. Clark/Willow Lake shook off the cobwebs in the second quarter but could not overcome the early deficit.
Sully Felberg was the only Cyclone to reach double figures, tallying 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Bo Begeman added eight points, and Chris Bevers had a 7-point night.
Connor Mebius led West Central with 22 points, while Will Kuhl added 16 points.
Clark/Willow Lake will play for third place Saturday at 6 p.m. against Hamlin. The game is a rematch of a Feb. 19 contest that went the way of the Cyclones, 58-50. SDPB will have coverage on SDPB-TV3, SDPB.org/Basketball and YouTube. Radio coverage can be found on Power 106.3.
