Hot-Shooting Hamlin Cruises to Third-Place Finish Over Clark/Willow Lake

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Hamlin found its rhythm early and didn’t let up, shooting 54% from the field to secure a 61-43 victory over Clark/Willow Lake in the third-place game of the 2026 Class A Boys State Basketball Tournament.

The Cyclones held a narrow 12-8 lead after the first quarter, but the Chargers took command from there. Hamlin outscored Clark/Willow Lake 53-31 over the final three frames to pull away.

Boden Stevenson led the Hamlin offense with 22 points. Jackson Wadsworth contributed 17 points and eight rebounds, while Aiden Abraham added 10 points.

Individual and team honors were also highlighted during the session, as Wadsworth was named the recipient of the 2026 Spirit of Su award. The Hamlin cheerleaders were also recognized with the Spirit of Six award.

For Clark/Willow Lake, Chris Bevers scored a team-high 13 points, followed by Sullivan Felberg with 11. Bo Begeman tallied five points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Cyclones finish the season with a 21-4 record. The program bids farewell to seniors Masyn Knock, Levi Atkins, William Hovde, Emmerson Larson, and Ky Vandersnick.

The Chargers end their campaign at 22-4. Graduation will claim seniors Jaden Olsen, Watson Grantham, Aiden Abraham, and Jackson Wadsworth.
