De Smet senior Grant Wilkinson has been named the Player of the Year and a first-team selection for the Class B All-State Team, as announced by the South Dakota High School Coaches Association.
Wilkinson is joined on the first team by junior Kamden Keszler of state runner-up Castlewood, the lone selection for the Warriors.
Several other local athletes earned All-State honors across the second and third teams. Deubrook Area senior Chance Schoenfeld was named to the second team, while third-team honors went to De Smet junior Noah Luethmers and Iroquois/Lake Preston junior Lucas Peskey. Waubay/Summit sophomore Hogan Hlavacek also received All-State honorable mention recognition.
