WATERTOWN, S.D. — The South Dakota High School Basketball Coaches Association has named Watertown boys basketball coach Pat McClemans as the Region 2 Coach of the Year.
The honor follows a standout final season for McClemans, who announced his retirement from coaching earlier this year. He led the Arrows to an 18-6 record and a fifth-place finish at the 2026 SDHSAA Class AA Boys Basketball Tournament.
Several other area coaches were also recognized by the SDHSBCA for their contributions this season. Joining McClemans in the honors were Clark/Willow Lake’s Andrea Begeman, named Region 1 Girls Coach of the Year, and Hamlin’s Tim Koisti, who earned Region 2 Girls Coach of the Year. Travis Wadsworth, also of Hamlin, was named the Region 2 Assistant Coach of the Year.
