Harrisburg Sweeps Patty Jorgenson Invite; Watertown Takes Third

BROOKINGS, S.D. — Harrisburg took the top spot during the second session of the 2026 Patty Jorgenson Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday. Watertown placed third as a team with a score of 141.525, while the Tigers swept the top spots in every event.

Watertown’s top-10 finishers included Macy Olsen, who took fifth in the all-around (35.825), third on the floor (9.7), and 10th on the vault (9.0). Ashlynn Andrews placed fifth on the floor (9.65) and sixth in the all-around (35.825). Elly Dingsor finished ninth on the bars (8.775), followed immediately by Kiera Schultz in 10th (8.7).

Watertown next competes in the Huron Invitational on Jan. 16.

Watertown Gymnastics Dominates Huron Invitational; Olsen Claims All-Around Title

HURON, S.D. — Four Watertown Arrows earned top individual scores to lead their team to a first-place finish at the HBAW Gymnastics Invitational in Huron on Thursday. The Arrows finished with a team score of 142.7.

Macy Olsen led the way for Watertown, winning the all-around title with a score of 36.1. Olsen also placed first on the vault (9.2) and took second on the bars (8.7), beam (8.85) and floor exercise (9.35).

Emery Gaikowski placed first on the bars (9.05), second in the all-around (35.45) and beam (8.75), and third on the floor (9.35).

Ashlynn Andrews took first on the floor (9.55) and second on the vault (9.1), while finishing third in the all-around (34.0). Kiera Schultz won the beam (8.85) and placed fourth in the all-around (34.0) and bars (8.25).

Other top-five finishes for the Arrows included Lyric Diedrich, who took third on the vault (9.0), fourth on the floor (9.15), and fifth in the all-around (33.9) and beam (8.25). Elly Dingsor placed third on the bars (8.6).

Watertown competes next at the Brookings Invitational on Jan. 10.

Evenson and Andrews lead Arrows to second-place finish in Mitchell

MITCHELL, S.D. — Watertown gymnastics placed second with a team score of 142.95 at the 2026 Kernel Flip for a Cure. The host team, Mitchell, won the event with a score of 145.15.

Shauna Evenson led the Arrows in the all-around, taking gold with a score of 36.5. Evenson also posted the top score on the floor with a 9.85. She placed second on the beam with a 9.3 and fifth on the vault with a 9.0. Ashlynn Andrews took home gold on the beam with a 9.4, fourth on the floor with a 9.6 and fourth in the all-around with a 35.55. Elly Dingsor scored an 8.85 on the bars, good for a third-place finish.

Next up for Watertown is a triangular in Huron against the Tigers and Britton-Hecla on Jan. 8.

Watertown Finishes Third at Jill McCormick

MITCHELL, SD – Watertown would take home a third place finish as a team at session two of the 2025 Jill McCormick Invite held in Mitchell on Saturday. As a team, the Arrows would score a 136.825. Harrisburg was tops in the session with a 147.525.

For the Arrows, Macy Olsen placed third on the beam with a 9.275 and just outside the top ten in the all around with a 33.725. Shauna Evenson placed third on the floor with a 9.4 and sixth on the beam with a 9.225. Elly Dingsor took home seventh on the bars with a 8.475.

Watertown will head back to Mitchell to complete against the Kernels and Sioux Falls Jefferson, Roosevelt and Washington on January 3rd.

Strong Individual Marks Propel Watertown to Second Place at Hub City Invite

ABERDEEN, SD – Watertown’s gymnastics team placed second at the Hub City Invite on Thursday in Aberdeen.

The Arrows finished with a team score of 139.55, finishing behind winner Harrisburg (144.55). Sisseton placed third (133.50), Milbank fourth (127.15), and the home team Aberdeen finished fifth (126.65).

Watertown’s top five individual scores included:

-Shauna Evenson tied for first on the beam (9.50), second on the floor (9.45), and third in the all-around (35.70).
-Emery Gaikowski took fourth on the floor (9.30) and fourth in the all-around (34.70).
-Elly Dingsor placed third on the bars (8.50).
-Macy Olsen tied for first on the beam (9.50).
-Kiera Schultz finished fifth on the bars (8.20).

Next up for Watertown gymnastics is the Jill McCormick Invite in Mitchell on December 20.
