WATERTOWN, S.D. — Edmunds Central and Clark/Willow Lake claimed the top team honors Tuesday at the Great Plains Lutheran Invitational held at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.
The Edmunds Central boys secured first place with a team score of 227. Clark/Willow Lake followed in second place with a 236, finishing nine strokes behind the leader. Doland took third place with a 247, while Hamlin finished fourth at 249 and Estelline/Hendricks placed fifth with a 253.
Seth Hettick of Edmunds Central earned the boys individual championship by carding a 73. Larz Tvedt of Wolsey-Wessington followed closely in second place with a 74. A three-way tie for third featured Aiden Abraham of Hamlin, Harrison Beyers of Edmunds Central and Kaiden Weinrels of Doland, who all finished with rounds of 75.
On the girls side, Clark/Willow Lake took home the team title with a score of 248. Hamlin finished in second place with a 309, while Waverly-South Shore took third with a 337. Host Great Plains Lutheran rounded out the field in fourth place with a team score of 362.
Brynn Roehrich of Clark/Willow Lake led the individual standings, finishing 3-under-par with a round of 69. Sage Gaikowski of Waubay/Summit placed second with an 83. Faith Roehrich of Clark/Willow Lake and Olivia Knox of Doland finished third and fourth, respectively, with scores of 87. Mallory Nelson of Clark/Willow Lake completed the top five with a 92.
