WATERTOWN, S.D. — Great Plains Lutheran and Deuel each secured team victories Friday at the Great Plains Lutheran triangular golf meet.
The Great Plains Lutheran boys paced the field with a team score of 258. Deuel finished in second place with a 253, followed by Webster in third with a 291. Barrett Pommer of Great Plains Lutheran earned individual medalist honors by carding a 79. He was followed by Deuel’s Nolan Gubrud, who finished with an 83, and Gavin Maaland, who took third with an 87. Asher Schafer and Ezra Schaffer of Great Plains Lutheran completed the top five with scores of 89 and 90, respectively.
In the girls’ division, Deuel claimed the top team spot with a score of 322, while the host Panthers finished second with a 344. Claryssa Hansen of Deuel led the individual standings with a 98. Addison Walkins of Great Plains Lutheran followed closely in second place with a 99, and Kinsley Ronne of Deuel finished third with a 101. Grace Maag of Great Plains Lutheran placed fourth with a 121, and Alexis Sodren of Deuel rounded out the top five with a 123.
