BRITTON, S.D. — Clark/Willow Lake dominated the Northeast Conference golf meet Friday, sweeping both the boys and girls team titles.
The Cyclone boys posted a winning score of 227, led by individual champion Cade Gaikowski, who carded a 72. Webster Area took second place with a 246, followed by host Britton-Hecla in third with a 255. Hamlin (258) and Deuel (267) rounded out the team scoring.
Gaikowski’s top performance was followed by Webster’s Seth Lesnar, who shot a 74 for second place. Hamlin’s Aiden Abraham finished third with a 76, while Clark/Willow Lake teammates Kooper Wookey (77) and Wyatt Schlagel (78) claimed the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
On the girls’ side, Clark/Willow Lake secured the crown with a team score of 257. Brynn Roehrich claimed the individual title, finishing the day with a 76.
The Cyclones’ Faith Roehrich and Webster’s Bailee Ninke finished in a tie for second place, both carding an 87. Webster’s Mia Coester took fourth with a 91, while Chloe Hagstrom of Clark/Willow Lake finished fifth with a 94.
