WATERTOWN, S.D. — Sioux Falls Roosevelt tallied 10 hits Tuesday night to defeat Watertown 11-1 in a high school softball matchup.
Rylinne DeVries and Meile Mellegaard led the Rough Riders’ offense, both finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI. Aliyah Chagolla and Abigail Paulsen each added two hits, with Paulsen contributing one RBI in the win.
Desiree Hinsch earned the victory in the circle. Hinsch struck out 11 batters and limited the Arrows to one run on four hits.
Alexa Brown powered the Watertown offense, going 1-for-3 and driving in the team’s only run. Logan Schell, Kenly Martenson, and Sophie Pickrel each recorded a hit for the Arrows. Lauryn Hirsch pitched five innings, allowing 11 runs on 10 hits.
Watertown (3-9) returns to action Friday with a road game against O’Gorman.
