Cydni Kudrna led the Warriors’ 13-hit attack, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Sophia Kudrna and Lucy Jacobsen each collected two hits and an RBI, while Natalie Akin and Kayla Goens drove in two runs apiece.
Claire Horn delivered a dominant performance in the circle to earn the complete-game victory. The sophomore struck out nine batters, allowing just two runs on three hits over seven innings.
McCook Central/Montrose struggled to find a rhythm against Horn. Mya Morrison, Ashtyn Deknikker and Josalyn Traupel each recorded a hit for Fighting Cougars.
