MITCHELL, S.D. — Presho’s Chris Long carded a two-day total of 134 to capture the South Dakota Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championship this weekend at Lakeview Golf Course.
Bob West of Watertown leading the field after a first-round 66, shot a 72 on Sunday to finish third overall with a total score of 138. Fellow Watertown resident Nick Mahowald finished 16th with a 146.
In the regular division, Mitchell’s Corey Wegehaupt secured the title with a two-day total of 155. Brady Fuhrman of Watertown placed eighth with a 167, while Watertown’s Ryan Hoag finished 17th with a 190.
The next event on the SDGA schedule is the Two-Man Amateur Championship, scheduled for June 13-14 at Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club.
