WATERTOWN S.D. — The Watertown Rebels have announced the induction of three new members into the organization’s Hall of Fame as the Class of 2026.
Lukas Anderson, Patrick Eggleston, and Ryan Huizenga were honored for their foundational contributions and on-field excellence during the early eras of the amateur football franchise.
Anderson, an original member of the Rebels before the team joined the Southern Plains Football League in 2016, spent 11 seasons with the organization. He served in nearly every capacity possible, contributing as a player, board member, team representative, and eventually as team owner from 2021 through 2023. Team officials credited Anderson’s persistence and dedication as crucial factors in establishing amateur football in Watertown.
Eggleston joined the club late in the 2016 campaign before playing his first full season in 2017. Over a seven-year career, he anchored the Rebels’ defense, developing into a dominant force that routinely disrupted opposing offensive game plans.
Huizenga, who played from 2016 through 2019, was recognized for the versatility that defined the franchise’s early years. A true utility asset, Huizenga made impacts at linebacker, running back, quarterback, and punter.
