Watertown’s Roehrich battles back on day two for sixth-place finish

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Watertown’s Brynn Roehrich carded a two-day total of 162 to secure a sixth-place finish at the Sanford International Series stop in Rapid City, which concluded Tuesday.

The South Dakota Golf Association Junior Tour event featured a two-day trek across West River courses, with athletes competing at both Hart Ranch Golf Course and Meadowbrook Golf Course.

Roehrich bounced back from an opening-round 85 to shoot a 5-over-par 77 on the final day of competition, climbing into the top 10.

Ari Jacobs took home the girls’ overall title, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 149.

On the boys’ side, Trevor Rick of Sioux Falls captured the overall championship, carding a two-day total of 148.
