WATERTOWN, S.D. — The Watertown Fastpitch Softball Association is set to host its Premier Throwdown Fastpitch Tournament this weekend at the Koch Complex, bringing together dozens of regional teams across multiple age divisions.
The three-day tournament, which runs Friday through Sunday, will utilize all fields at the complex. The tournament features four age brackets: 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16-18U.
Action begins Friday evening, with the opening games scheduled for 5 p.m. and the final matchups of the night dropping first pitch at 8 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule starts at 8 a.m. and runs until the final games begin at 8 p.m. In the 16-18U division, the hometown Watertown Force will navigate a packed four-game slate on Saturday. The Force will open the morning against the Woonsocket Aviators at 8 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. matchup with the Redfield Trash Fire. After a midday break, the Force return to the field at 2 p.m. against BV Blitz 16U Bergan before wrapping up their pool play against the SF Sparks at 3:30 p.m.
The tournament concludes Sunday, with games starting at 8 a.m. Teams will be seeded based on their early results to determine the bracket winners, with the final championship games scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
