CASTLEWOOD, S.D. — Castlewood Post 250 dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Redfield Post 180 on Monday night, falling 7-1 and 13-7.

Despite outhitting Redfield 3-1, Castlewood hurt itself with nine errors in the opener.
Kaden Nedved, Jax Tharldsen, and Trevor Everson each had a hit for Castlewood, with Tharldsen driving in the team’s lone run. Nedved turned in a strong performance on the mound, pitching seven innings and allowing just one hit while striking out nine and walking three.
Noah Johnson led Redfield with a hit, while Tate Neuharth earned the win, giving up one run on three hits and striking out six over seven innings.
Redfield 13, Castlewood 7
Redfield completed the sweep in the nightcap, powered by Jackson Rude, who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Grady Hulscher went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Tate Bray added a hit and two RBIs. Hulscher also started on the mound, striking out six while allowing five hits and four runs over four innings.
Brinlee Proctor led the Castlewood offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Logan McMillan, Trevor Everson, Jax Tharaldsen, and Dante Schortzman each added a hit for Post 250.
McMillan started on the hill for Castlewood, allowing five runs (three earned) on five hits in two innings. Kyrell Baker, Kypton Eidson, and Schortzman combined in relief, allowing four hits and eight runs while striking out seven.
