CASTLEWOOD, S.D. — Sisseton exploded for an eight-run seventh inning to break open a tight game and defeat Castlewood 10-2 on Thursday in South Dakota American Legion baseball action.
Max Dahlen anchored the Post 50 offense, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Levi Nelson turned in a perfect day at the plate, finishing 3-for-3, while JJ Ham added two hits to the winning effort.
Bradley Hansen earned the victory on the mound, delivering a dominant complete-game performance. Hansen allowed just two runs on four hits while striking out 11 batters.
Layne Haagensen, Logan McMillan, Brody Bass, and Davis Gales each collected a hit for Castlewood.
Kaden Nedved took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out nine over six strong innings. Bass pitched one inning of relief, giving up seven runs on three hits and five walks during Sisseton’s late-game surge.
With the loss, Castlewood falls to 2-12 on the season.
