CLARK, S.D. — The Volga Cormorants racked up 15 hits and took advantage of five Clark errors en route to a 21-4 South Dakota amateur baseball victory Sunday.
Jordan Kathol led the Volga attack, going 4-for-5 with two RBIs. Bayley Colemer and Austin Buysee each collected three hits for the Cormorants. Colemer drove in five runs, highlighted by a second-inning home run.
Jordan Sagedahl earned the win on the mound, allowing one run on three hits while striking out eight.
Jakob Steen paced Clark, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Hudson Fuller suffered the loss, allowing 12 runs (10 earned) on nine hits in three innings. Zach Winter pitched two innings of relief, giving up nine runs on six hits and four walks.
Clark (4-6) visits the Elkton Snappers on Friday.
