BROOKINGS, S.D. — Several local competitors turned in strong individual performances across multiple stops on the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Tour over the past week.
At the Mini and Prep Tour individual event in Brookings on Thursday, Paisley Neale of Watertown captured first place in the girls’ 12-13 division, carding a 57.
Also representing Watertown, Jackson Ahmann placed seventh in the boys’ 14-15 division with an 87, while Rudy Stutzman finished fourth in the boys’ 10-11 division after shooting a 49.
Further west, the Sanford International Series held individual tournaments in the Black Hills at Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club and Spearfish Canyon Golf Club. Sage Gaikowski of Waubay was the lone local competitor, carding a two-day total of 198 to finish in 18th place.
On Wednesday, Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club also hosted the local qualifier for the 2026 Notah Begay III Junior National Championship. Official results from the individual qualifying event have not yet been released.
