MITCHELL, S.D. — The Clark Traders racked up 12 hits en route to a 10-3 victory over the Tabor Bluebirds on Tuesday night in the South Dakota Class B Amateur Baseball Tournament at Cadwell Park.
Jakob Steen led Clark’s 12-hit attack, going 3-for-6 with an RBI. Marik Junker drove in two runs with two hits, while Zach Toben and Cooper Pommer each added a pair of hits.
Hudson Fuller earned the win, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out one and walking four across eight innings. Watson Grantham pitched a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts to seal the victory.
Josiah Peterson and Riley Rothschadl paced Tabor with two hits apiece. Rothschadl took the loss, giving up seven runs on 12 hits while striking out five in six innings.
Clark advances to the quarterfinal round to face the Dell Rapids Mudcats on Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
