WATERTOWN, S.D. — The Watertown High School boys soccer team received votes in the preseason coaches poll released earlier this week ahead of the season kickoff.
Both the Watertown boys and girls soccer teams are looking to build on playoff appearances from last season as they open their schedules at home this weekend against Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central at the Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex.
The Arrow boys finished the 2025 season with a 6-4-5 record, defeating Sioux Falls Washington 2-1 in the first round of the playoffs before falling 4-3 to Brandon Valley in the quarterfinals.
The Watertown girls posted an 8-7-1 record last fall. They advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 2-1 victory over Sioux Falls Lincoln in the opening round before losing to Pierre 6-2.
Watertown hosts Rapid City Stevens on Friday, with games scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Arrows will return to the field Saturday against Rapid City Central, with kickoff set for noon and 2 p.m.
