BROOKINGS, S.D. — Watertown swept Brookings in straight sets Thursday night, securing a 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, and 25-22.
Torrence Tipton led the Watertown attack with 12 kills, while Carighan Klatt added 10 kills and an ace. Reese Munger recorded a double-double effort, posting six kills and 10 digs.
Setter Jaelyn Kettwig directed the offense with 35 assists. Defense and service were key factors for Watertown, anchored by Hensley Hogue (12 digs, one ace) and Maryn York (10 digs, one ace). Andi Olson contributed two aces in the win.
With the victory, Watertown improves to 9-5 on the season. The team returns home to face Yankton on Sept. 29.
