YANKTON, S.D. — The Yankton Bucks used a dominant six-goal second period to shut out the Watertown Lakers 6-0 on Saturday.
Kylen O’Connor led the offensive surge with a hat trick. Tucker Renken scored twice, and Kad Schramm added a single goal to round out the scoring for Yankton.
Kohl Nygaard took the loss in goal for Watertown, while Luke Moeller earned the shutout victory for the Bucks. Yankton heavily outshot the Lakers 37-15 throughout the contest.
Watertown returns to the ice Sunday, Feb. 1, for a matchup in Mitchell.
