CASTLEWOOD, S.D. — Watson Grantham threw a one-hit shutout to lead the Clark Traders to an 11-0 victory over Lake Norden, securing a spot in the Class B South Dakota American Legion Baseball Tournament.
Grantham pitched a complete game, striking out five and needing just 90 pitches to seal the win.
The Traders’ offense delivered strong support, racking up nine hits. Zach Toben led the attack, going 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Toben set the tone early with a three-run home run in the first inning. Grayson Florey added two hits and three RBIs, while Andrew Magadanz also recorded a two-hit night.
Kale Stevenson picked up the lone hit for Lake Norden. Stevenson also took the loss on the mound, allowing 11 runs on nine hits while striking out five over five innings.
With the win, Clark will represent District 1B at the 2026 Class B South Dakota State Tournament, set for Aug. 5–16 at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.
Lake Norden will have another chance to advance when it faces Milbank at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
