MITCHELL, S.D. — The Watertown Arrow volleyball team earned a road victory Saturday, defeating Mitchell in straight sets by scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-19.
Watertown’s offense was keyed by setter Jaelyn Kettwig, who dished out 27 assists on the afternoon.
Torrence Tipton led the attack with 10 kills, while Carighan Klatt finished with nine kills and Cambrie Klatt added seven.
At the service line, Reese Munger went 14-of-15 with four aces. Hensley Hogue would go a perfect 12-for-12 serving with an ace.
Defensively, the Arrows were led in the back row by Andi Olson, who collected 18 digs, while Hogue added 17 digs. Watertown also established a strong presence at the net, anchored by Cambrie Klatt’s four solo blocks. Carighan Klatt added three solo blocks and two block assists.
With the victory, Watertown improves to 6-4 on the season and remain on the road to face O’Gorman on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
