SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — No. 5 Watertown outlasted No. 2 Bishop O’Gorman in a five-set marathon Tuesday night, coming away with a 3-2 victory.
The Arrows claimed the victory with set scores of 28-26, 23-25, 20-25, 25-20, and 15-13.
Carighan Klatt powered the Watertown offense with a team-high 19 kills to go along with three service aces. Reese Munger added 15 kills, while Torance Tipton chipped in 14 kills in the offensive effort.
Setter Jaelyn Kettwig directed the attack with 38 assists while anchoring the defense with 24 digs. Andi Olson led the back row with 25 digs, and Maryn York added 20 digs to keep the Knights at bay.
At the net, Kali Ellis recorded three solo blocks and two block assists. Munger contributed at the net as well, tallying one solo block and five assisted blocks, while Cambrie Klatt posted two solo blocks and one assist.
With the win, Watertown improves to 7-4 on the season and travel to face West Fargo on Saturday.
