Castlewood rallied from a 2-1 set deficit to edge Great Plains Lutheran in a five-set thriller on Thursday. Ava Ruml fueled the Warriors’ offense with 15 kills and four block assists, while Cydni Kudrna ran the floor with 19 assists and 15 digs. Great Plains Lutheran mounted a strong middle-set comeback behind Nylah Vannelli’s standout defensive effort of 50 digs and Emily Moritz’s 26 assists. The Dolphins controlled the net as Kylee Johnson and Chloe Haines posted eight kills apiece, while setter Makenna Ekefn distributed 15 assists. Deuel kept rallies alive behind 15 digs from Lauryn Peterreins and 19 assists from Aubrey Lanners, but couldn’t break through Deubrook’s front line.
